As required by the Occupational Safety and Health Standards and Department of Labor and Employment DOLE Department Order 13, a sufficient number of trained safety officers must be employed by all construction companies. The required number of safety officers depends on the number of workers for every shift.

COSH Training is the 40-hour mandatory course by the Occupational Safety and Health (OSHC) of the Philippines for the occupational safety and health regulations and guidance.
COSH training aims to equip participants with the basic knowledge and skills in performing safety audits, assessments and analysis of hazards and risks in the construction industry; determining appropriate control measures and developing and implementing OSH policies and programs.
